HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Here's hoping everybody has a great 2006. I'll save my end of the year/New Year's resolution type post until tomorrow...I'm partied out...

A couple of New Year's Eve observations...There was a comfort seeing Dick Clark back on TV counting down to the New Year.

And one other thing...what the hell was up with them bringing out the Mariah Carey float...oh wait, that WAS Mariah Carey!

    yes, Mariah has put on weight. But I think she looks pretty good still myself.

    Are you kidding? I guess it was a comfort to see him propped up at his desk, but MAN was it depressing to hear him croak & slur out his words. Worse than Liz Taylor at the AMAs (or was it Golden Globes?) a few years ago. Enough! Let the man wither in peace! It'll only be a couple more years before he ends up stuffed & in a corner of the set anyway.

    Can't say I saw Dick Clark, though I just heard an audio clip and he did sound rough. Then again, so does Kirk Douglas, post-stroke.

    And Sam: it was the Globes: "GLADIATOR! GLADIATOR!"

    As far as Mariah is concerned: she's so "meh." She can't hold a damn note to save her life - part of the death of good singing in pop music here in the States.

    Am I bitter? Ummm.... erm....

    ;)

    aww poor dick .. gotta love him.

    and the mariah float ... hahahahahahahahahaha. i don't know what to say. I was home in ohio watching the show with my mother when mariah came on ... my mother goes "what the F*** did she eat???" haha. oh well. its the holidays ... time to pack on the pounds. :o)
